Balch Springs - Sparte

Starting June 13th, come to the Balch Springs Recreation Center from 10 AM - 12 PM for Community Engagement Event Saturdays! Every 2nd Saturday of the month, the Recreation Center will offer a new activity to bring together the Balch Springs community. June's event is a Wood Burning Craft. The Balch Springs Recreation Center will open late on Friday, May 29th at 2 PM for Parkfest: Unearth a Story. Parkfest will take place at Walter E. Luedeke Park from 10 AM to 2 PM. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, June 1st.

The Balch Springs Recreation Center and the Balch Springs Senior Center will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

The Balch Springs Library is offering free “Take & Go” meals for children and teens ages 18 and younger this summer through the Nourish2Flourish program! See the post below for more information on how to register ⬇️

Our seniors celebrated Mother's Day on Monday with a Sock Hop! They were treated to diner-style burgers, milkshakes, and desserts by the amazing Senior Center staff. We wish a Happy Mother's Day to all our seniors and the mothers in our community! 🎊💖✨

Our Sprint the Springs: Dino Fun Run and 5K this past Saturday was a HUGE success! We had an incredible 69 runners and walkers complete the race. Thank you to our volunteers, our vendors, and our participants for helping bring this event together for our community!
