Named for the pioneering publicist, media entrepreneur, and co-founder of the National Black Public Relations Society (NBPRS), the Patricia L. Tobin Award honors a public relations, advertising, marketing professional, or media owner who serves as an industry trailblazer in affecting the positive representation of African Americans in the media and directing change in the media industry at large.

NBPRS President Neil Foote kicked off the national conference and facilitated a discussion with White House correspondent April Ryan. April revealed insights covering three Presidents and quoted the great Shirley Chisholm, "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair."

Just upstairs from the conference, one of our great partners and sponsors, Dr. Clarke Caywood, gave three former NBPRS board members a tour of the school's innovative learning space and TV studio--topped with an awesome view of the city.💕
