WHY WE'RE SAYING "DON'T STOP AT THE TOP!"
So many Texas Democrats are used to voting a straight ticket in the November General Election every two years. But Republicans in the Texas legislature removed our right to vote a straight ticket during the 2019 session.
Are Democrats going to let that stop us? No way. Democrats all over Texas are saying "Don't stop at the top! Vote for every Democrat!" as a way of reminding people to please send Democrats into office at every level from the White House to the Courthouse.
Many voters are excited about the Presidential contest, and we'll have top-tier competitive races for U.S. Senate and Congress on the ballot, too. But there's so much more.
Our next Democratic president needs the support of Democrats at all levels of government to get things done. We have a chance in 2020 to flip the Texas State House to Democratic control. We have outstanding candidates running for statewide offices such as Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals. And you have dozens of Democrats on your local ballots running for things like Commissioner, District and County judicial offices, Sheriff, District Attorney and more.
If you are participating in your first major election in 2020 because you're excited to get a Democrat into the White House, don't forget to vote for all the other members of the team by voting for Democrats all the way to the bottom of your ballot.
If you are a longtime straight Democratic ticket voter, just be aware of the change. You'll have to make sure you vote for every Democrat this time.
We're not going to let voting changes keep Democrats down in 2020. We're voting for every Democrat!

- You can apply for a ballot-by-mail NOW at this link
- October 23, 2020, is the last day to apply for a ballot-by-mail (received not postmarked)
- After you turn in your application, you'll get a ballot from the elections department closer to the election.
- Mail your ballot back in plenty of time for it to be received before November 3, 2020.
VOTING EARLY IN PERSON
- Early voting in person is October 19-30, 2020
VOTING EARLY ON ELECTION DAY
- Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020
