I am a Developmental Specialist (BS/MS) who is also a NCS, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor & Doula. I focus exclusively on consults that support (1) Baby’s healthiest first days & (2) development through all phases of infancy & into (3)early childhood, (4) your postpartum recovery, & (5) successful breastfeeding/pumping that align with your goals in this this area. (6)When Baby is rising to meet challenges, I support her progress through hands-on, play-based supports tailored to her needs that mitigate or prevent delays in development.

Swaddling is most helpful to Baby in the first DAYS of life.

Swaddling is NOT a requirement.

Most babies do not need to be swaddled past the first 8-14 days of life.

Every baby needs opportunities to sleep unswaddled.

Babies should never be swaddled once they are rolling over.

[The AAP does NOT recommend rolling Baby back over to her back during sleep once she Is rolling over on her own.]
