🌊🏅 This past Saturday, our Coast Guard Officers In Training, who are part of the CSPI PROGRAM, were in Granbury, Texas, supporting the Spartan Race! Although they didn’t compete, they were there to promote our recruiting efforts and connect with the local community. 💪✨

Our amazing team engaged with participants and spectators, sharing what it means to be part of the Coast Guard and the incredible opportunities that await you. 🌟

✨ One of our applicants officially took the oath and joined the Delayed Entry Program — surrounded by loved ones and backed by the unwavering support of RO San Juan, Sector San Juan and the crew of CGC Joseph Doyle.

🎖 A huge shoutout to our shipmates at Recruiting Office San Juan! When they learned the applicant hoped to swear in during their family vacation in Puerto Rico, they went above and beyond to make it happen. Rolling out the red carpet was more than a gesture — it was a testament to the belief that “Recruiting is a Team Sport”, and we’re proud to play on the same side.

🌟 Every journey is unique. Whether it’s overcoming distance, doubts, or personal sacrifice, the right mentorship and teamwork can guide a future Coastie to their calling in the world’s finest Coast Guard.

EMC Schlereth was honored to represent the Coast Guard at Goldthwaite High School’s Signing Day! Congrats to Jeremy Poffenbarger for choosing to serve as a future Gunner’s Mate in the U.S. Coast Guard—welcome aboard, shipmate!

Chief Justin Lane and Chief Chris Rumsey, representing Coast Guard Recruiting Office Dallas, prepare to lay a commemorative wreath during a ceremony marking the 113th anniversary of Titanic’s sailing.

Hosted by the White Rock Boat Club on April 10, 2025, in Dallas, the event supported Titanic: The Exhibition and honored the lives lost when Titanic tragically sank in the early hours of April 15, 1912.

Big thanks to Dallas College for hosting the incredible Bits & Bites event! It was a fantastic opportunity for culinary students to showcase their talents alongside 40 of Dallas’ top chefs—and the food was absolutely outstanding. We were also proud to share how a career in the U.S. Coast Guard can benefit aspiring chefs. Students interested in Active Duty are be eligible for a $60K signing bonus, and those with a culinary degree can potentially lateral directly into an E-5 position—an advancement that typically takes around three years. It’s a great way to turn passion into purpose while serving your country.

🌟 Huge shoutout to OT Joshua Nguyen for an incredible forum on applying for CSPI! 🎉 Despite the rain trying to hold us back, we pushed through and had a great turn out 💪📚 Thank you, Marcus High School, for hosting and making it all happen! 🙌✨

BM1 Catlin and EMC Lane attended the Marcus High School College and Career Fair in Flower Mound, where they spoke with students about the many opportunities available in the U.S. Coast Guard and what a future in service could look like.
