Over 80 Distinguished Visitors (DVs) from 31 different units and the local area visited exercise BUMBU FORGE 2024 at Fort McCoy, WI. The DVs flew into the simulated deployed environment on Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks to experience a simulated war and interacted with their airmen first hand during training. The DVs also learned about how BUMBU FORGE 2024 increases the war fighting skills and mission readiness of their airmen in multiple different facets. Multiple coins and medals were awarded to honor those airmen who showed exemplary service during this exercise.

U.S. Army National Guard instructors from the Nebraska Medical Readiness Detachment lead Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) 101 training during BUMBU FORGE 2024. This training is a crucial program that familiarizes individuals with the capabilities of a Medevac unit and teaches them how to handle patient transport during critical situations.

Service members from the 192nd Security Forces Squadron (SFS), Virginia Air National Guard, conduct a recon and assault exercise during BUMBU FORGE 2024. The SFS undergoes training to sustain a globally deployable force, facilitating Air Force joint and coalition missions aimed at saving lives, safeguarding people and property, and alleviating suffering.

Airmen with the 119th Wing, North Dakota Air National Guard exercise defending 242 Combat Communications missions at Fort McCoy, WI, during BUMBU FORGE 2024 from simulated attacks. The 242 CBCS support primary communication needs for a variety of missions.
During BUMBU FORGE 2024 at Fort McCoy, WI, a CH-47 Chinook from B Co. 2-135th Nebraska Army National Guard demonstrated exceptional coordination by transporting Air National Guard service members from the 264th Combat Communications Squadron Peoria, Illinois.
This joint exercise showcased the seamless collaboration between our Army and Air National Guard units. Proud to see such dedicated service members in action!
