On Saturday, Oct. 10, it's all about puzzles at the Flower Mound Public Library! 🧩 Join us beginning at 12 p.m. for a puzzle swap and jigsaw puzzle challenge. Here's what you need to know:

𝗣𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗽
Bring your gently used puzzles to the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) beginning on Friday, Oct. 2, through 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. Once you drop off a puzzle, you'll receive an early admission ticket to the swap on Saturday, Oct. 10. Early admission is from 12-12:30 p.m. If you don't have a puzzle to swap, you can still enter the swap at 12:30 p.m. to grab a free, new-to-you puzzle while supplies last.

𝗝𝗶𝗴𝘀𝗮𝘄 𝗣𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲
After the puzzle swap, stick around for the jigsaw challenge where teams of two to four people will race to complete a jigsaw puzzle. The challenge will start at 2 p.m. in the Community Program Room. The winning team will take home a prize and the title of Jigsaw Puzzle Champions! All competition puzzles will be provided by the Library.

Are you 65 or older and currently enrolled in Medicare? 🩺❤️ Join us for our upcoming What’s New in Medicare for 2027 workshop! On Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 7-8 p.m., we’ll discuss the changes Medicare members can expect to see in the new year and governmental updates to the program. This presentation at the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) is presented by health insurance advisor Liz Harms with Insurance Solutions USA.

Our next Tales and Trees program at Westchester Park (3901 Churchill Dr.) is next Saturday, Oct. 3. 📗🌳 Join us at the park’s pavilion at 2 p.m. to learn all about what makes each tree unique! During this Fall In Love with Trees program, we’ll learn about our environment with nature-inspired stories, hands-on activities, and a scavenger hunt.

This program is for children of all ages and their caretakers. Activities may be messy, so dress accordingly. Registration is not required, but you can learn more at www.flowermound.gov/libraryevents.

In one week, the Friends of the Flower Mound Public Library will host a Book Sale at the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.). 📚🛍️ The schedule for the sale includes:

▪️ Friday, Oct.2, 5-7 p.m. Admission for this pre-sale event is $5.

▪️ Saturday, Oct. 3, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. No charge for admission.

▪️ Sunday, Oct. 4, 1-4 p.m. No charge for admission.

Next week, join us as life coach Lisa Cortez leads two programs about living intently.

The first program, Creating a Life That Fits: Intentional Time Management, is an inspiring workshop that explores how to build balance and live with greater intention. ⌚ During the program on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 7-8 p.m., learn practical strategies for building supportive habits, establishing routines that work for you, and making intentional choices with your time.

The second program, Living Abundantly: Finding Joy Through Identity, is a workshop that explores how understanding your identity can lead to greater fulfillment and joy in everyday life. 😊 During the program on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., explore how understanding your identity can lead to greater fulfillment, purpose, and joy in everyday life.

You only have two more days to drop off your old costumes for our swap on Saturday! 🧛 🕷️ No day-of donations will be accepted, so stop by the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) before we close Friday to drop off your unwanted costumes. Once you drop off a costume, we’ll give you a voucher for early admission to the swap.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, bring your voucher to the Library for early admission from 2-3 p.m. and select a new costume. If you do not have a voucher, you can attend the swap from 3-3:30 p.m. and take as many items as you like. Learn more at www.flowermound.gov/libraryevents.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Book Swap today! We’ll have another swap in just one week, but this time, we’re asking for your unused Halloween costumes. Trade your gently used costumes for a new-to-you one just before Halloween! 🎃🕷️

Here's how it works:
Through Friday, Sept. 25, the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) will accept costumes in infant to adult sizes. Each costume must be in a clean, wearable condition. For each costume you donate, you'll receive one costume voucher and early admission to the swap.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, the day of the swap, bring your voucher to the Library for early admission from 2-3 p.m. and select a new costume. If you do not have a voucher, you can attend the swap from 3-3:30 p.m. and take as many items as you like.

In one week, join us to create your own junk journal! 📔✏️ During this program at the Flower Mound Public Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.), create and decorate your own junk journal using repurposed materials. All supplies will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring photos, magazines, and other ephemera of their choice to make their journals more personalized.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and we’re including our furry, scaly, and floppy-eared friends in the fun! Visit us at the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) to grab a collectible library card for your dog, cat, rabbit, snake, etc. We do ask that you leave the animals at home while collecting their cards. 📚 While you’re here, make sure you get a library card for yourself, too!

Join us from 2-3 p.m. to learn all about our Friends with Feathers! 🐦 Learn how birds build their homes in our ecosystem and practice your own nest construction skills.
