Nothing like a little river side snack after a long day on the water! Summers right around the corner and we’re now booking summer float/wade trips in the Vail Valley. Ask about upgrading your trip to include a spread like this!

••••••••Take Notes••••••••

Always figured I would be able to remember every day on the water. Wether it was guiding of playing on the off days, I never used to write stuff down. Over the years I’ve learned…. Well simply put I know I do not remember everyday of fishing or what was hot everyday or where I should be fishing at what water level, I do remember a lot but not everything. Taking notes on important details that led to a hot day on the water is key. Water temps, river flows, wind directions, tides, hot flies, etc. So many factors go in to our normal days, and yes we do remember a lot and fall into grooves of being on em, but it’s not a bad idea to have something to turn back to when things get tough!

Absolutely gorgeous day on the water with miss yesterday. Crazy low tide, many hungry fish.

When a fish burns out as you cast and your fly lands in a cloud of mud, but his buddy you didn’t see is working cleanup duty. Rather be lucky then good any day.

Early morning fog had us on the fences. Pretty easy to stay in on those nastier days. But we decided to head out anyway because why not.

Fishing started slow… and by no means did it get hot. But only took one fish to turn that day around. stuck this one sneaking out the cut. Almost gave us the slip but he laid it out and she couldn’t resist.

Had an opportunity to go check the crab traps with . Harvested a couple blue crabs and through the stone back.

Got down and dirty with a good ol crab boil. Picked apart the spares and mixed them up with some goodness, crab cakes were absolutely next level.
