🌟 Long Range Planning in Action! 🌟

This morning, the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees held an incredible workshop focused on Long Range Planning—a vital process that helps us evaluate where we are as a district and refine our strategic roadmap for the future.

While some may feel that this kind of planning is something new, LISD has been doing long range planning for years—it’s part of how we stay proactive and responsive to the needs of our students and community.

This important work between the Board and the Long Range Planning Committee takes place every three years, ensuring that our district continues to align with our community’s values, priorities, and educational vision.

Today’s session is just the first piece of the puzzle. From here, a committee of stakeholders representing voices from across the district will be formed to create a clear direction for addressing future needs, improving student outcomes, and keeping LISD strong for years to come. The committee will also complete listening circles with key committees and groups throughout the community to gather valuable feedback before sharing their input with the Board prior to adoption.

I love that our community has a voice in the direction of our district!

✨ What an exciting morning at Peters Colony Elementary School! ✨

We celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new Panther Pantry, a wonderful resource that will support our students and families right here in the City of The Colony.

A huge thank you to the Tarrant Area Food Bank for making this pantry possible and for being such an incredible partner in our community. Your dedication helps ensure no family faces food insecurity. We’re also grateful to Medical City Healthcare and the American Heart Association for their continued support and collaboration in promoting health and wellness for our students. Thank you to Denton County Commissioner Kevin Falconer and The Colony City Council member Judy Ensweiler for your attendance and support.

Having access to nutritious food is essential — no child should ever go hungry. When students are well-fed, they are ready to learn, grow, and thrive. ❤️🖤🐾

Proud to support programs like this across Lewisville ISD that help our students and families succeed — both in and out of the classroom.

A huge thank you to the PTAs at Edward S. Marcus High School, Flower Mound High School, Lamar Middle School, and McKamy Middle School for hosting a fantastic parent workshop with Jermaine Galloway — the Tall Cop!

He delivered important and relevant information to an auditorium full of parents and educators. His message was powerful and simple: Educate yourself and have conversations with your kids. If they don’t hear it from you, they’ll hear about it from others.

Thank you for helping equip our Lewisville ISD community with the knowledge to better support and protect our students.

💛 A huge shoutout to Lovepacs - Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village for the incredible work they do in our Lewisville ISD community! I spent some time this morning delivering meals and snacks to campuses.

Lovepacs’ vision is to ensure that no child goes hungry, and their mission is to engage communities to feed children in need. By providing meals to students during school breaks and times of food insecurity, they remove one of the biggest barriers to learning — hunger.

I absolutely love volunteering with this organization and so does my entire family and their friends. Packing boxes and knowing those meals are going straight to students right here in our community is incredibly rewarding. It’s a reminder that even small acts of service can have a lasting impact on a child’s success. 🍎📚

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, I encourage you to get involved with Lovepacs — donate, volunteer, or help spread the word. Together, we can make sure every student starts each day ready to learn and thrive. ❤️
