Independence High School

Frisco ISD's seventh high school, Independence, opened to students in Fall 2014.

Independence High School will open in August 2014 at 10555 Independence Parkway with students in grades nine, ten and eleven. It will relieve crowding at Frisco ISD's Centennial, Heritage and Liberty high schools. Independence will offer the same quality and equitable programming and opportunities as other FISD high schools, and students will be able to compete at the varsity level in all extracurricular events in the 2014-15 school year.

Mrs. Reichard is a kind, genuine, compassionate soul who consistently supports her students in their academic and extracurricular endeavors. She leads with a powerful sense of calmness that benefits her students and colleagues alike. When I am around her, she listens openly and always makes me feel comfortable—a sentiment I have heard echoed by her students. She has been a friend to the band program for many years, and we are grateful for her continued service and positive influence on our campus!

I have nominated Ms. Parks for Knight of the Week because of her infectious energy, incredible school spirit, and unwavering commitment to our band program. Whether she is leading rehearsals or supporting students at performances, Ms. Parks brings a positive attitude that brightens everyone's day.
One of the things that makes Ms. Parks so special is her ability to create an engaging and welcoming environment for students. Her amazing dance moves and enthusiasm help build community, encourage participation and make even the busiest days more enjoyable. She has a unique gift for bringing people together and making every student feel valued.
Beyond her fun and energetic personality, Ms. Parks is deeply dedicated to the success of the band and its students. She invests countless hours helping students improve, prepping for performances and ensuring the program continues to thrive. Her passion, hard work and genuine care for students have a lasting impact both in and out of the classroom.

Students in Mr. Dennis' classes look forward to exploring topics that are relevant and interesting to them. Not only does Mr. Dennis support his students, but he also goes above and beyond to contribute to the culture at IHS. Between E-sports, 3D MA, and Key Club Mr. Dennis helps to make IHS the best campus in FISD. He incorporates Future Ready opportunities and meets each student where they are with differentiation.
