SMU Sigma Chi

Sigma Chi at SMU Sigma Chi (ΣΧ) is one of the largest and oldest college Greek-letter secret and social fraternities.

Sigma Chi was founded on June 28, 1855 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio when members split from Delta Kappa Epsilon. Sigma Chi has seven founding members: Benjamin Piatt Runkle, Thomas Cowan Bell, William Lewis Lockwood, Isaac M. Jordan, Daniel William Cooper, Franklin Howard Scobey, and James Parks Caldwell. Sigma Chi is a part of the Miami Triad, along with Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta Theta.

Hi Everyone!

We have a big chapter update today. First off, we want to introduce everyone to the new website of Sigma Chi-Delta Mu! After reviewing our old page, we decided it was time for a major upgrade. So, over the past few weeks, we’ve been working to build a site that will help us better reach out to Delta Mu’s alumni, friends, and community. Be sure to check it out at SMU-Sigma-Chi.com .

In addition, we'd like to share an update about our Annual Derby Days campaign! Please visit the link attached to learn more about the Brother's efforts in raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Research Foundation.
