Been working on this for a while... Excited to finally get it going!
Big news for nature in Lewisville!
The Lewisville City Council has approved a design contract for the future Nature Center at Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA).
This exciting milestone moves us one step closer to creating a destination where residents and visitors can connect with the natural beauty of North Texas through hands-on learning, interpretive exhibits, citizen science, nature-based play, and outdoor exploration.
The future facility will celebrate the unique ecosystems that make Lewisville special, including the Blackland Prairie, Cross Timbers Woodlands, and Trinity River Bottomlands.
Thank you to everyone who has shared ideas and participated in the community engagement process. We look forward to sharing updates as the project continues to take shape.

We are bummed to share that Saturday's Learn Lewisville event at Thrive has been postponed to Saturday, June 13, 1-4 p.m.
We were so looking forward to connecting with our neighbors, exploring city resources, and hanging out with the community. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your weekend plans! Stay dry, and we hope to see you all at the next city event soon!
