I am grateful to Justice Lana Myers and the Republican Professional Women of Dallas for hosting the Republican Fifth Court of Appeals candidates yesterday evening. It was a fantastic Q&A that was thoughtful, substantive, and a great opportunity to hear directly about our judicial philosophy and the important work of the court.

I continue to be grateful for the support as we campaign toward a November victory!

“I have had the privilege of knowing Judge Ben Smith for over 20 years, dating back to his time as a prosecutor with the Collin County District Attorney's office. Throughout his career, I have witnessed his unwavering commitment to fairness and justice, even in the most adversarial cases. Judge Smith's balanced approach and integrity have only strengthened during his tenure on the bench.

His profound respect for the law and dedication to providing equitable outcomes make him an exceptional candidate for the Court of Appeals. I am confident that he will continue to uphold the principles of justice and contribute significantly to our legal system. Judge Ben Smith is undoubtedly a great choice for this vital position.” - Brandon Epperson

Today we pause to recognize a debt we can never fully repay. It’s the empty chair at the table. The folded flag. The name on a wall.

Today is about the men and women who gave everything so we could live free. I’m deeply grateful for their sacrifice.

To the fallen, and to the families who carry them: thank you. We remember. We honor. We will not forget.

National Police Week is a reminder of the debt we owe to those who uphold the law - often at great personal cost.

As a judge, I see firsthand the dedication and sacrifice of our law enforcement community. I am grateful for their commitment to our communities.

Happy Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day!

I am a blessed man. I was raised by a wonderful mother, I married into a family with a wonderful mother-in-law, and every day I get to watch my wife Rebecca be an amazing mom to our boys, Jackson and Lincoln.

To all the moms - thank you. Happy Mother’s Day.
