The countdown is on! With about two weeks until FIFA World Cup 2026™, the City of Frisco and regional partners hosted a community tree‑planting to support local sustainability efforts.
This morning, volunteers 'pitched in' to help crews from Play Frisco - Parks & Recreation and Environmental Services plant 20 new pond cypress trees at the Toyota Soccer Center and FC Dallas training grounds.
These trees will stand as a lasting legacy for Frisco — a visual reminder of Sports City USA's role in this global event. They’ll also deliver long‑term environmental benefits, providing more shade, cleaner air and an enhanced green space for young athletes, families and visitors to enjoy year‑round.
This project was made possible through collaboration with FC Dallas, Fannin Tree Farm, the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee and Better Impact.
