Hi, my name is Suzanne and I’ve been a hypocrite at varying degrees for 39 years. First step...
Many of us are doing our best to live our values. This guy is one of those. I’d trade 💯 celebrity interviews who could put me on the YouTube map for an interview with this guy. Wish granted! I’m so lucky (and audacious, some would say annoying)!
This university Professor is not just extremely knowledgeable in history and Africana studies, but he lives what he teaches and imparts. Take a break from doom-scrolling and listen, learn, reflect, engage. Also, subscribe/like/share. 🙏 #

Hey Church, don't say "all are welcome" IF:
- women aren't welcome on the elder board, including being lead pastor. Even if you "allow" them to preach from the pulpit/stage but still don't allow them on the elder board, you don't get a pass--that's called "tricking"
- if your goal is to have the LGBTQ+ participants who first came because of your "welcoming" verbiage, eventually "convert" by either praying the gay away or committing to celibacy
- if you don't allow those in the LGBTQ+ community to serve or be in church leadership...again, that's calling "tricking" (or misleading or manipulating) while also saying "all are welcome"
If you say "EVERYONE IS WELCOME!" you'd better mean it. Otherwise, you're the most dangerous kinds of people on the planet. Be honest and upfront about who you are, what you believe, and what you stand for. Even if we disagree on this, I can at least respect your honesty and commitment to not trick or manipulate people to get them through the door. We're all walking around with some kind of pain and/or disappointment...don't make it worse.

Episode 42 - The Bright Muse, Stories from Humans—
She's so brave. How do you adequately say “thank you” to someone serving in our military?? I don't know, but I tried. Also, who's tougher? Military bootcamp or her crazy trainer?
The Bright Muse | Ep 42 | On Being Deployed to Afghanistan She may seem humble and sublte, but make no mistake--this woman is BAD-A! Make sure you give her a big "hey thanks for keeping my life going" kind of thank you.
