PARK(ing) Day Dallas is an annual, worldwide event where artists, activists, and citizens turn parking spots into temporary public parks and other spaces for people to enjoy. PARK(ing) Day is a non-commercial project, intended to promote creativity, civic engagement, critical thinking, unscripted social interactions, generosity and play. The DDI Clean Team is dedicated to maintaining the beauty and accessibility of streets, sidewalks and public spaces in Downtown Dallas. This team of full-time employees removes litter, graffiti, dog waste and gum, pressure-washes sidewalks, maintains trees and plants, and conducts cleaning and repairs of benches, bike racks and trash receptacles.
💧 Last month, the Clean Team used 4,500 gallons of water to irrigate over 250 trees, flower beds, and flower pots around Downtown with a special focus on the newly planted young trees. 💧
