Local Elections:
- Also called the May Joint & Special Election
- No party labels. Vote for local leaders in your city like mayor, city council, school board, and local bonds.

Early Voting: April 20 – April 28
Election Day: Saturday, May 2

Primary Runoff:
- A primary runoff decides a party’s candidate when no one got a majority in the March primary.
- Voters choose between the top two candidates from the March primary.

Early Voting: May 18 – May 22
Election Day: Tuesday, May 26

- If you did not vote in March, you can still vote in the runoff.

Runoffs often come down to very small margins — every vote matters.

Both elections matter. Make a plan to vote in both. ✅

Early voting for the Texas 2026 primaries begins tomorrow, Tuesday, February 17th. While early voting allows you to vote at any early vote polling place in the county, on Election Day you can only vote at your designated polling location. Find a time and location that works best for you and mark your calendar.
