Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that the freedoms we enjoy were secured by those who never returned home. Their courage, their sacrifice, and their devotion to duty will never be forgotten.
We also hold in our hearts the families who bear the weight of that sacrifice every day. Their strength and resilience embody the true meaning of Memorial Day.
As we reflect, may we strive to live in a way that honors those who gave everything to protect our country and our communities. Their legacy endures in our commitment to justice, service, and the values they fought to defend.
We remember. We honor. We are grateful.

Thank you to every member of our community who took part in their civic duty and voted yesterday. Participating in the democratic process strengthens our county and reflects the values we all share.
As always, I remain committed to serving Paulding County with integrity, professionalism, and dedication. My focus continues to be the safety, well‑being, and fair treatment of every person who calls this community home.
As I said before Election Day, we can now move forward — together.
Yours in service,

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office had an extraordinary month in April, and our community is safer because of their work.
From more than 5,000 calls for service to over 1,200 traffic stops, 400+ warrants served, and nearly 6,000 zone patrols, their deputies showed up — day and night — to protect the people who live here.
These numbers represent far more than activity. They represent dedication, professionalism, and a commitment to community_safety that never wavers.
Our office is proud to stand with the men and women of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. We see the long hours, the difficult calls, and the steady service that often goes unnoticed.
Thank you, Sheriff Henson and the entire PCSO team, for everything you do to keep Paulding safe.
We work here. We live here. We serve here — together.
Y’all kept us busy in April 👀
5,096 calls for service.
1,222 traffic stops.
411 warrants served.
5,864 zone patrols.
That’s deputies answering calls, checking neighborhoods, stopping reckless drivers, serving warrants, and doing what we do best — keeping Paulding County safe.
We work here. We live here. We serve here.
Now behave yourselves in May, shug.

During National Law Enforcement Week, our office is proud to recognize the men and women who serve and protect Paulding County every day.
We stand with our law enforcement partners in the work they do and the challenges they face, and we are grateful for their commitment to keeping our community safe.
From time to time, we also like to remind them that they are appreciated — and yes, that occasionally includes bringing a few treats to brighten their day. Small gestures go a long way in showing support for those who give so much of themselves.
Thank you to all of our law enforcement agencies for your service, professionalism, and dedication to this community.

In honor of National Limerick Day, Newt insisted on contributing his own “legal” wisdom.
DA Robert Lane and Newt, each dressed up in a suit,
were arguing statutes to boot.
One cited a clause,
The other said “Paws—
That precedent’s clearly in dispute.
Even in an office that handles serious matters every day, moments of levity remind us to stay grounded, human, and—at least in Newt’s case—occasionally canine. A little humor helps us continue serving our community with steadiness and grace.

This past Thursday, I had the honor of attending the Law Enforcement Memorial & Candlelight Vigil recognizing the fallen officers of Cobb, Paulding, and Douglas Counties.
The ceremony stands as a solemn reminder of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our communities, and of the families who continue to bear that sacrifice with strength and dignity.
We honor their memory, we acknowledge their service, and we remain grateful for their unwavering commitment to protecting the public. Moments like this transcend all else, reminding us of the profound cost of safeguarding our communities.
