If you were lucky enough to score a seat at the adult cooking series, "What's Cooking with Miss Yari," you know exactly how incredible she is. Miss Yari has spent the last few months taking our neighborhood on a delicious journey all around the world, right from the library!
From exploring the flavors of Japan π―π΅ and France π«π· to diving into the culinary traditions of Eastern Europe π₯ and the Caribbean ποΈ, she brought culture, community, and amazing tastes together in the best possible way.

Every great story has one and this year, ours comes with a bit of construction.
Due to ongoing updates at the library, weβre rescheduling the Lakewood Library Art Show to Spring 2027. While weβll miss it this year, this extra time means we can come back with an even more inspiring (and less dusty π) experience for everyone.
ποΈ Think of it as a creative pauseβ¦with a big comeback ahead.
