Today marks the culmination of an intense week for the board of directors and volunteers of White Rock Friends Outreach. This evening one of our most loyal and generous supporters, DIFFA Dallas, hosts the largest and most celebrated annual high-fashion fundraising gala in Texas, House of DIFFA. Tonight's theme is 'Hotel Mystique'.

As we have for the past three decades, we will serve dinner to the ~200 volunteers, staff, models, and performers for the event. We have spent the past several days buying supplies and ingredients, organizing our team, doing food prep, and setting up our service station at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Downtown Dallas.

In addition to a world-famous array of designer jackets, several other items and experience packages (ranging in value from $10,000 to $94,500) will be auctioned at the event. DIFFA Dallas uses proceeds to provide financial support to several HIV/AIDS service organizations in the area, including ours.

House of DIFFA: Hotel Mystique will feature a plethora of talent including tonight's headliner, the incomparable Queen of the Mothertucking World... winner of the inaugural season of RuPaul's Drag Race Global All Stars and DFW native, Alyssa Edwards!

Since 1984, DIFFA has granted millions of dollars to North Texas HIV/AIDS programs by raising funds through the production of incredible events highlighting the design community. DIFFA is one of the largest and most successful fundraising organizations for HIV/AIDS non-profit service providers and education programs within Texas, New York, California, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts and Washington. DIFFA is the only HIV/AIDS organization in Texas that provides non-earmarked funding exclusively to HIV/AIDS service efforts in our communities, thus providing for the direct care for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Dallas is DIFFA's largest chapter by funds raised. The unique design-focused events DIFFA Dallas holds include Burgers and Burgundy, DIFFA Wreath Collection, and House of DIFFA.

Founded over 34 years ago as a ministry project of White Rock Community Church, White Rock Friends Outreach provides household sanitary products, laundry products, personal hygiene products, hot meals, area resource referrals, and a weekend social environment to folks living with HIV/AIDS in and around DFW.
