Sabrina Memorial Foundation A non-profit organization with the goal of providing social services such as education, healing, and hands-on training to the most needy in our society.

The Sabrina Memorial Foundation started with a young woman’s dream to help mankind. Her name was Sabrina Salam and she was an aspiring woman, a caring mother, a loving sister and an adored daughter. She had devoted her life to helping others. When Sabrina unexpectedly left this world in 2011, her death shocked everyone as her dream of helping mankind went unfulfilled. In honor of Sabrina’s devotion to helping those in need, her family took it upon themselves to pursue her humanitarian causes to turn her dreams into a reality. Thus, the Sabrina Memorial Foundation was founded in 2012. Before here untimely passing, Sabrina and some of the founding members of the Sabrina Memorial Foundation were helping people in Jabusha, Bangladesh when a cyclone hit in 2007. Natural disasters such as cyclones are very common in Bangladesh due its geographical location. Thus when the Cyclone Sidr hit on November 15, 2007, coastal cities were heavily damaged as approximately 3,447 lives were lost in Bangladesh. The village of Jabusha, which is close to the coast of the Bay of Bengal, was almost wiped out by the storm. Work by the Sabrina Memorial Foundation started here in this village as some of the organization’s founding members worked hand in hand with local villagers to help them recover after the massive storm by assisting them with rebuilding homes, schools, and livelihoods. Since then, the foundation has helped to build schools, a vocational training center, a storm shelter, and a health center in Jabusha. SMF is currently undertaking multiple other projects to help the less fortunate in other regions of Bangladesh. In addition to helping the people in Bangladesh, the Sabrina Memorial Foundation in 2014 expanded its projects to Kenya.

In Loving Memory of Wasim Salam

Founder, Sabrina Memorial Foundation

On His 5th Death Anniversary

A Life of Selflessness. A Heart for Humanity. A Legacy That Lives On.

Today, on the fifth anniversary of the passing of Wasim Salam, we remember and honor a remarkable human being whose life was a testament to kindness, selflessness, philanthropy, and an unwavering commitment to serving humanity.

Wasim believed that the true measure of a person's worth was never defined by wealth, status, or recognition, but by the kindness they extended to others and the difference they made in people's lives.

He once said:

“It does not matter what brand clothes you wear and what car you drive, but it does matter how you treat people.”

These simple yet profound words reflected the very essence of who he was.

For Wasim, the cause was always greater than the credit, and serving humanity was far more important than standing in the limelight. He never sought recognition for his generosity. His greatest fulfillment came from bringing hope to those in need, uplifting communities, and creating opportunities for a better tomorrow.

His vision and dedication laid the foundation for the Sabrina Memorial Foundation, an organization that continues to carry forward his mission of empowering individuals through education, healing, and hands-on training.

Five years have passed, but his values continue to guide us, his kindness continues to inspire us, and his legacy lives on through every life touched by the foundation.

The world may not remember what we owned or what we achieved for ourselves, but it will remember how we made others feel and how we treated humanity.

And that is how Wasim Salam will always be remembered: for his extraordinary kindness, his generous heart, and his unconditional devotion to those in need.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, illuminate his grave, elevate his rank to the highest levels of Jannatul Firdaus, and grant him eternal peace.

May Allah make the Sabrina Memorial Foundation a continuous source of Sadaqah Jariyah for Wasim Salam and for everyone who dedicates their time, resources, and efforts to this noble mission. May every life healed, every individual empowered, and every act of kindness performed through this foundation become a source of everlasting reward. Ameen.

Five years without his presence, but a lifetime guided by his purpose.

Forever loved. Deeply missed. Never forgotten.

His life was a blessing. His kindness was his identity. His legacy is our responsibility.
