The Anna Police Department is proud to announce our partnership with the non-profit organization, Secure the Call!
This partnership began thanks to a local Girl Scout working on a community service project. She introduced our department to Secure the Call, coordinated the initial partnership and even helped install the donation bin now located in the Anna PD lobby. We appreciate her hard work and dedication to helping others in our community!
Secure the Call’s mission is simple:
➡️ Recycle old cell phones and tablets
➡️ Help connect domestic violence victims and senior citizens to emergency services
➡️ Keep electronic waste out of landfills
Did you know?
• Any charged cell phone can call 911 — even without an active service plan.
• Millions of seniors and domestic violence victims lack reliable access to emergency communication.
• Over 151 million cell phones are thrown away each year in the United States.
How you can help:
Donate your old phones at the Anna Police Department lobby inside the Anna Municipal Complex
Look for the green donation bin pictured below.
Your donation could:
• Help someone contact emergency services in a crisis
• Support victims and seniors in need
• Reduce electronic waste
• Qualify as a tax-deductible donation

This past weekend, the Anna Police Department partnered with Racheal’s Rescues, Adon Complete Air Conditioning and Heating and Texas Roadhouse for a pet adoption event. 🐾
The event gave community members the opportunity to meet adoptable pets while also spending time with Anna Police officers in a fun and welcoming environment.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the event such a positive experience for both our neighbors and our four-legged friends!

We loved spending time with the students during Field Day at JKB!
Building positive relationships with our youth is one of the best parts of what we do and we’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with these amazing kids.
Thank you to JKB for inviting us out for such a fun day!

During National Police Week, the Anna Police Department joins communities across the nation in honoring the brave law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognizing those who continue to serve with courage, integrity and commitment every day.
This week, and especially on Peace Officers Memorial Day, May 15, we pause to remember the fallen, support their families and thank the men and women who wear the badge in service to others.
We are proud to serve the Anna community and grateful for your continued support.

Keeping our community safe goes beyond responding to calls, it’s also about education and prevention. As part of the adults 50+ programming, we had the opportunity to talk with neighbors in our community about common scams, fraud prevention and ways to stay protected.
We appreciate everyone who joined the conversation and helped make the class a success. We’re looking forward to continuing these important discussions at our Crime Prevention Class coming up this summer.
