We are so proud of our Founder and Executive Director, Denise Benavides, who is now officially
Mental Health First Aid–certified.

This certification equips our leadership with the skills to recognize the signs of mental health challenges, provide immediate non-clinical support, de-escalate crisis situations, and connect individuals and families to appropriate resources, all through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens.

As a community centered organization, La Monarca Foundation is committed to serving families with care, dignity, and compassion. This milestone strengthens our ability to support our community holistically, especially during outreach events, youth programs, family services, and community initiatives.

Mental health matters. Early support saves lives.
And we are honored to continue this work with intention and heart 💛

📌 Mental Health First Aid is a non-clinical, evidence-based certification focused on early intervention and resource connection.

La Monarca Foundation expresses profound sorrow over today’s tragic shooting at the ICE office in Dallas, in which migrants were among those killed and injured.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the migrants who lost their lives, and our prayers and wishes for healing to those wounded. Their lives hold inherent dignity and value, and their suffering must not be forgotten.

This violent act wounds not only the individuals directly affected, but entire communities that live in fear of hate and hostility. No human being should ever be subject to such senseless aggression simply because of their status or origins.

Furthermore, in this moment of grief, we urge political leaders, public figures, and all members of society to reject rhetoric that dehumanizes migrants, immigrants, or any marginalized group. Words have power and too often, inflammatory speech lays the ground for real harm.

As La Monarca Foundation, we recommit ourselves to standing alongside immigrant communities, working toward safety, justice, and dignity. Let us unite not in division, but in shared humanity, so that no family ever again endures tragedy born from hatred.

La Monarca Foundation esta en Solidaridad con las Protestas en Los Ángeles y Dallas: La Deportación es Violencia Decimos Basta YA
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

Apoyamos a nuestra comunidad.

La Monarca Foundation Stands in Solidarity with Protests in Los Angeles and Dallas: Deportation Is Violence We Say No More
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Dallas, TX — La Monarca Foundation stands in full solidarity with the protesters rising up in Los Angeles, Dallas, and across the country. We support the people who are demanding justice, dignity, and freedom for our communities.

We want to be clear:
We are against ICE.
We are against deportation.
We are against the separation and criminalization of our people.

What ICE continues to do ripping families apart, detaining parents, deporting youth, targeting vulnerable communities is not just wrong. It is violence. It is trauma. It is an attack on the soul of our communities.

At La Monarca Foundation, we believe in the power of our people. We were founded on the principle that no one is illegal on stolen land. And we know that right now, people are marching not just out of anger, but out of love for their families, for their culture, for their future.

We support these protests. We support our people. And we believe this is a moment for unity, not division. We cannot let fear or misinformation divide us. Whether documented or undocumented, Black or Brown, newly arrived or born here we are one community.

Let us be loud in our love, clear in our commitment, and unshakable in our solidarity.

To our people in the streets: we see you, we honor you, we stand with you.
To those hurting in silence: you are not alone.
To those who still hesitate: now is the time to come together.

We are the people. And we will not be silent.

In strength and solidarity,
La Monarca Foundation
