Dallas $10K for Kids

We hope everyone had an amazing holiday season!!! We are about to get started on planning and participation! All of the amazing folks who helped make amazing last year and the year before are about to see year three be a great year for our kidos! Wow. What a night!!! Thank you all for coming out and supporting winnings and final totals will be announced on Wednesday!

Dessert is KILLING IT!!! Mighty Thank you to our fabulous and amazing Chef Carolanne Treadwell for putting on her part all on her own. Hat's off to this lady. Her heart is bigger than her! If you aren't here yet, you need to be! ;)

Final Day of Chef Appreciation Day and our praise goes to the multiple award winning, cancer ass kicking, strong, intelligent, Best Barman of the Year (Tastemaker 2017), Mr. Charlie Pap! Without Charlie wouldn't be possible. The story behind why our event is being held at Charlie's, AKA Industry Alley Bar, can be traced back to simply his huge heart. Always giving back into organizations he believes in, he heard our cry for venue needs and opened his doors last year for 2016 and is welcoming us again for our second annual. Tonight you are able to join in, as this event is open to the public, and be a part of our celebration of community, better life, and stronger kids for our future!
--As a side THANK YOU!! Charlie also has teamed up with his lead barman Mike Steele, fellow barman Austin Millspaugh, Jeorge Herrera, & Christian Rodriguez to continue the fun into Sunday night for what the guys call, "Take Over Charity Night", where 100% of their tips are being donated! Austin started this charity night about a year ago, the same time we all met and we are very happy to accept in order to add to our goal for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children A wonderful thanks to you Charlie for being the best and always giving, providing, & being there.

For our Friday edition of Chef Appreciation Week our "Shout Out" goes directly to Chef Justin Holt!! "Holla!" If you haven't met this chef yet, you are missing out!! Aside his shy impression, the brilliance of Justin is taking over this city. Holt has never been one to turn down any questions and is never too busy to give advice; he also helped on the sidelines last year for our planning. He's giving in a way that can't be matched here in Dallas, in fact, he even posts videos on Instagram of production details!! (Very fun to follow, ). Holt is happily one of the best at Lucia Dallas, but he wouldn't ever let you think that when talking to him. Always gracious and uplifting his fellow mates Justin is the most humble, knowledgeable, and highly sought after chefs in town who is cooking with Nick Amoriello, for you tomorrow night! Never second rating his ingredients & always putting quality as a standard, Justin is giving back for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children our local children's hospital.

While keeping local this year it has been our honor to work with, learn, and enjoy our time with this chef. Thank you Justin for always being a part of our team!!

Today, in our humpday celebration of Chef Appreciation Week, we honor the respected & well known Chef Sharon Van Meter!! Through her years of coming up in the game she's come to be known as the "Mother of all mothers" here in Dallas. Sharon is active all over the United States actually, not only as a National Prized Chef, but also very active in our politics and leader in our food administrations, laws, and funding. We spent a hour with Sharon this week and watched her get more done than Trump has in 3 months!!! (I know where my vote would go!) Plus to be such an amazing woman and run, own, and operate fundraisers across our city, head up her own business 3015 at Trinity Groves... how does she have time to give back to our Dallas Kids??? Here's to Keeping it local and a big cheers to the amazingly smart Chef Sharon. We thank you for being apart this year for our second annual. Can't wait to eat your dinner this Saturday!!!

This Sunday for Over Charity Night, Austin, Mike Steele, Christian, & Jeorge are bringing their talents together for a night to give back. I'm very excited to announce ALL tips are going to charity. That's right. These guys are giving 100% tips to charity. Which charity? :) Dallas $10K for Kids is more than excited to accept their donation & all monies will be going directly to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Children!!! Can't thank you guys enough!!! See everyone there!!!
