School’s out. The backpacks have been abandoned. The summer calendars are filling up fast.
Whether you’re heading out on vacation or simply slowing down to enjoy a little more family time this season, the Murphy Police Department’s free House Watch Program can help give you peace of mind while you’re away from home.
So, unplug a little (or we recommend a lot). Stay awhile at the pool. Take the trip. Enjoy the moments that make summer feel like summer. We’ll help keep an extra eye on things while you’re gone. ✈️🌴
Before you head out, fill out the House Watch Form here:

When an exchange needs to happen, it should happen safely.
The City of Murphy has a designated Safe Exchange area located in front of the Murphy Police Department — a monitored parking space under 24/7 video surveillance, available for residents who need a secure location to meet and complete exchanges.
This space is intended for situations like custody exchanges or the transfer of personal property — anything where meeting in a public, neutral, and observed location brings added peace of mind.
Because not every situation is simple, but where it happens can be.
Located at the Murphy Police Department
Actively monitored by cameras 24/7
Open for community use at any time
A small space. A safer option. A better way to meet in the middle.

Just a friendly reminder that we are closed today in observance of Memorial Day.
Solid Waste services will not be collected today and will shift by one day for the rest of the week, ending on Saturday.

Emergencies are chaotic. Stressful. Sometimes terrifying.
In those critical moments, first responders and medical personnel need information quickly — medications, allergies, emergency contacts, medical conditions, and more. The File of Life program helps make sure they have it.
Because on one of the worst days of your life, wouldn’t you want the people rushing in to help already knowing the things that could help save you?
The City of Murphy encourages residents to complete a free File of Life form and keep it in an easily accessible location in your home for emergency responders.
Take a few minutes today. It could make all the difference tomorrow.

SATURDAY, MAY 23 — the splash pad at Murphy Central Park is back for the season.
And it’s giving full Sandlot energy.
This is flip-flops slapping pavement. Bikes dropped in the yard. Someone yelling “last one in is a rotten egg” like it’s a legally binding contract. Slow down this summer and let your kids be, well, kids.
No schedules. No structure. Just water, chaos, and the sacred rule of “be home when the streetlights come on.”
Open daily: 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
7 days a week
Closed as needed for maintenance
Go let them have a summer that feels like it belongs in a memory they’ll replay forever.
