I’m honored to be running the 2026 Boston Marathon as the inaugural charity runner for the Massachusetts National Lancers Association, a historic volunteer cavalry unit that has carried America’s spirit of service, honor, and community for generations. As a lifelong runner who has completed the New York City Marathon twice, I’ve always dreamed of earning a bib for Boston. To finally have the chance to do so — and to raise money and run for such a worthy cause with a deep family tie — makes this experience profoundly special.

To represent such a storied and tight-knit volunteer family in Boston’s 130th Marathon, held during the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, is an indescribable honor. As a Texan, I feel deeply moved to carry the legacy of a Massachusetts institution that has stood for patriotism, service, and unity for more than two centuries. This journey has connected me not only to the Lancers but also to the DiCarlo-Domey family, whose kindness and pride have made me feel like part of their own circle.

Training for Boston has become far more than physical preparation — it’s a mission of the heart. Every long run reminds me of the generations who have worn the Lancer uniform, cared for their horses, and served their community with humility and grace. Every mile represents their endurance and the timeless values they embody loyalty, courage, and tradition. I’m inspired daily by their example and deeply motivated to run my very best on their behalf.

The Massachusetts National Lancers rely on the generosity of supporters to maintain their horses, uniforms, and programs that keep this living history alive. Your donation — no matter the size — directly supports their ceremonial duties, youth involvement, and community outreach. Each contribution helps preserve a proud legacy that bridges the nation’s founding values with the present day.
