🚔 ✅ Davie Police will be joining other law enforcement agencies and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Click It or Ticket campaign. Please be sure to wear your seat belt every trip, every time to prevent serious injuries and deaths on our roadways.

The following is a traffic impact report courtesy of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Construction and maintenance-related lane closures on state highways in Broward County are expected during this week through May 22, 2026. Weather permitting, work will be done at the following locations along State Road 84:
• Eastbound State Road 84 from east of Flamingo Road will be fully closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., through Friday, May 15, 2026. Motorists will be detoured via northbound Flamingo Road, eastbound Broward Boulevard, and southbound SW 118th Avenue before re-entering eastbound State Road 84.
• Eastbound State Road 84 from east of Nob Hill Road will be fully closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., through Friday, May 15, 2026. Motorists will be detoured via northbound Nob Hill Road, eastbound Broward Boulevard, and southbound Pine Island Road before re-entering eastbound State Road 84.
• Eastbound State Road 84 from east of Pine Island Road will be fully closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., beginning Sunday, May 17, 2026, through Friday, May 22, 2026. Motorists will be detoured via eastbound Peters Road, northbound Pine Island Road, eastbound University Drive, and then re-enter eastbound State Road 84.
• Eastbound State Road 84 from east of University Drive will be fully closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., beginning Sunday, May 17, 2026, through Friday, May 22, 2026. Motorists will be detoured via southbound University Drive, eastbound Nova Drive, and northbound Davie Road before re-entering eastbound State Road 84.

🚨 Super Speeder Stop: 121 MPH 🚨
On this episode, Traffic Homicide Detective Jimenez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at 121 miles per hour, well over the threshold for a Super Speeder violation under Florida law.
In Florida, drivers exceeding 50 mph over the posted speed limit or traveling 100+ mph face enhanced penalties, including mandatory fines, potential license suspension, and criminal charges.
We urge all drivers to slow down, obey posted limits, and make safe choices behind the wheel. Your safety and the safety of everyone on the road depends on it.
🚔 This driver was arrested and their vehicle was towed.
