Today we honor the men and women who gave everything for this country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to pay respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for everyone back home.

To the fallen heroes who never made it home, thank you. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

And to the families carrying that loss every day, we remember and honor you as well.

In all seriousness, forcible entry is an essential skill in the fire service. It’s non-negotiable. We have to be proficient at it.
Is the door unlocked? Most of the time, yeah. But what happens when it isn’t? Are you going to be efficient, or are you going to fumble with the Halligan for five minutes trying to figure out which part goes where and how it fits that specific door?
Bottom line: get out there and train your skills. Stay proficient. And as always, stay safe — train in Carna gear if you want to be safer.
