About the Movie
In this inspiring Ripped from the Headlines story, Monique Smith endured a horrific childhood, only to eventually discover that her abusive family…wasn’t even her family at all! From a young age, Monique always felt out of place in her family. Living in constant fear of abuse from her mother and others, she dreamed of finding people who loved her and a place that truly felt like a home. Because of the abuse she suffered, she felt she could never embrace her family and especially wanted to know her origin story once she became a mother herself. After realizing she didn’t have proper documentation, including a birth certificate or social security card, she goes on a decades-long search to discover who she really is. Yaya DaCosta, Robert Hamilton III, Solace Kimbro Jones, Kadeem Isaiah, Morgan-Rose Jordan and Djassi DaCosta Johnson (2025).
We urge you to share this invite with ten others x 10 x 10 x 10 the amplified roar for Human Trafficking Advocacy will shake the portals of silence of this unconscionable crime against humanity.

Far too many interactions with people who suddenly "don't know their purpose." My feedback is it's your purpose that's scares you. Your purpose shadow is overwhelming but it's also welcoming! Remember as a child you would try anything and test the adults warning (you would try it because you didn't know fear).
Embrace your PURPOSE and stop sharing it with doubtful and non-visionary people!
Borrowing this from the legendary Diana Ross
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you, there's no open doors
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?
Once we were standing still in time
Chasing the fantasies that filled our minds
You knew how I loved you, but my spirit was free
Laughing at the questions that you once asked of me
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Now looking back at all we planned
We let so many dreams just slip through our hands
Why must we wait so long before we see
How sad the answers to those questions can be?
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you, there's no open doors
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?
Declare This: I know my purpose; I know where I’m going to and today I choose to release the fear and embrace my PURPOSE!
