🎃🧡 STEM in the Pumpkin Patch! 💙🐾

Our middle school STEM students put their engineering skills to work designing and building their own mini catapults! 🚀 Then it was time to test their creations in our Pumpkin Patch Challenge! 🎯

With different distance zones ranging from the Pumpkin Patch to the Pumpkin Champion, students launched their pumpkins and earned points based on how far they could send them! 🌽🍂

Students practiced engineering design, problem-solving, testing, and improving their designs while enjoying some friendly competition. Who knew a little pumpkin patch fun could teach so much STEM?! 🍁

Way to go, Cougars! Keep designing, building, and launching! 🐾🎃

It’s the Fall 2026 NCHS/MS Scholastic Book Fair, which is set to open tomorrow! Plan to shop October 19-23, in the NCHS Library Media Center from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. The Book Fair gets students excited about reading and earns funds for our school. Support the school library by encouraging your student to come browse and find their next great read! Get them prepared by clicking on the link or scanning the QR code to explore the school's Book Fair website, where you can find details on setting up a E-Wallet for your student to make purchases, contributing to Share the Fair, previewing the books, and shopping the fair online once it begins. In addition to E-Wallet, payment methods also include cash, check, debit/credit, and tap pay at the register. All proceeds go to supporting the NCHS/MS Library Media Center. We can't wait to see your student at the Book Fair!
