Still thinking about Voices & Visions ✨
What a joy it was to honor the amazing Myra Nagy with our first annual Lived Expert Leadership Award. Myra has infused her lived expertise and wisdom into every aspect of Elevated Denver. She has been a part of the work from the beginning, giving shape to the storytelling and the solutions. We are beyond lucky to have Myra on the team.

This week’s screening of the 9NEWS (KUSA) documentary “Refuge” and panel discussion was amazing! It was inspiring to see the film again, and we encourage everyone to watch it. After Johnna moderated the panel, she shared, “It was powerful to hear from the incredible panel who each have a different perspective, but share the same compassion and desire to do better.” Thank you to the panel and to everyone who attended!

Last week, Johnna attended the 2026 Metro Denver Homeless Initiative Continuum of Care convening. Hundreds of people representing 140 organizations attended, including more than 100 online. Grounded in lived expertise, the day was a powerful reminder of our region's commitment to come together, collaborate, and strengthen our collective response to homelessness.
Johnna was honored to serve on the opening panel alongside our longtime supporter, Donald Burnes, Co-Founder of the Burnes Institute for Poverty Research, and Dr. Jamie Rife of Housing Connector. It was energizing to be in a room filled with individuals working towards a shared purpose and focusing on the importance of engaging people with lived experience!
