Such a rewarding day in Fort Morgan for our latest Colorado Main Street site visit and community presentation!

We loved connecting with local partners and businesses like Books on Main and exploring the historic Farmers State Bank building. This impressive downtown centerpiece houses MCC Center for Arts and Community Enrichment, Morgan Community College Foundation, and the Fort Morgan Area Chamber of Commerce.

Big thanks to Cover 4 Theatre for opening their doors to host the Main Street Open House, and for sharing a screening room for us and headliner, Becky McCray from Saveyour.town, to present on Main Street as well as practical steps to put into action right away to shape a better future for rural communities.

Lastly, thank you to City of Fort Morgan Economic Development for coordinating the event, welcoming us, and your ongoing commitment to a thriving Main Street in Fort Morgan!

We had a fantastic Colorado Main Street site visit to beautiful Wellington, CO.

Despite the active construction along Cleveland Avenue, the incredible resilience of this community shines through. Downtown Wellington is open for business, and local business owners continue to welcome visitors with open arms.

A huge thank you to Wellington CO Main Street Program! Their infectious positive energy made this visit unforgettable. They are true champions for the community.

Lastly, we couldn't resist a visit to a new downtown gem, The Dragon & Cone. Congrats on their amazing renovation which incorporated medieval themed architecture and design. Watch out for the giant spider!

What an incredible time in Lake City at the 25th Annual Uncorked Music and W**e Festival.

The turnout was amazing and the event was packed with great energy. We spent the day connecting with local businesses and vendors, enjoying some stellar live music, and eating delicious food while everyone around us sampled the wines. To top it all off, we got to check out the brand new playground at Lake City Town Park.

A massive shout out to Lake City DIRT for putting on such a memorable 25th anniversary celebration. Already counting down the days until next year.

We had a fantastic time visiting the Town of Platteville, CO, to connect with their Main Street Board and incredible town staff.

The breathtaking and huge Platteville mural brings so much local character and color to the streetscape.

A massive thank you to the Platteville Main Street Board and staff for taking the time to tour us around, share your vision, and show us what makes your community so special.

We are thrilled to partner with you as you work toward officially joining the program and as you continue building a thriving downtown.

The Colorado Main Street Team recently visited the Town of Kersey, and we were blown away by the energy and dedication! From active local participation to inspiring community leadership, Kersey is showing what strong grassroots momentum looks like.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our discussion about Kersey becoming an official Colorado Main Street community in the near future. We love seeing the serious investments the town is making in connectivity, downtown infrastructure, and vibrant spaces for residents, and local businesses alike.

We spent a few days in August touring San Luis and Trinidad, catching up with local leaders and seeing downtown projects in action. From The Town of San Luis, CO. incredible cultural legacy, to Trinidad Historic Main Street vibrant arts and small business scene, there is so much passion powering these communities.

Welcome, Town of Timnath, as a newly designated Colorado Main Street! 👏

Timnath joins 31 other Colorado communities participating in the Colorado Main Street program housed within the Division of Local Government’s Community Development Office.

The numbers prove the impact of the community-led, downtown revitalization this program supports. In 2025 alone, Colorado Main Street communities saw:

• 87 new businesses open
• 303 new jobs created
• Over $159 million invested through public-private partnerships

Another reason we’re celebrating the Main Street Program: 18 Colorado communities have achieved the highest National Main Street designations for 2026. This accredited designation means each local program met rigorous standards in its work in revitalizing downtown districts and supporting small businesses.

Congratulations to Timnath and the Colorado communities that achieved National Main Street designation! We’re here to support you as you embrace, enhance, and preserve the elements that make your towns so special.

We are proud to highlight the successful conclusion of the Silverton Business Summit. This annual event exemplifies the power of public-private partnerships in driving community success.
