Colorado Heart Gallery Colorado Heart Gallery features kids and teens in Colorado waiting to find their adoptive families. Visit Coheartgallery.org to learn more.

The Colorado Heart Gallery is both a website and a traveling photography display dedicated to finding caring adults for our waiting children. It is a collaboration among the Colorado Department of Human Services, Raise the Future, counties throughout the state, and generous professional photographers who donate their time, talent, and materials to help find families for children and youth. The Colorado Heart Gallery is one of Colorado’s most effective ways to find families for children and teens. We welcome your comments to the Colorado Heart Gallery page. Every journey to fostering starts somewhere, and for Annie and Max Nicely, it began with kinship care! 👧❤️

Before opening their home to foster teens and maintaining strong sibling connections, Annie and Max stepped up to care for family by adopting their 4-year-old granddaughter. That experience grounded their family in love, stability, and the power of family bonds. 🏡✨

Today, they combine deep compassion with practical life skills—offering teens in their care real-world trade apprenticeships at their custom hot rod shop to prepare them for adulthood! 🛠️🚗

When kids can’t safely stay at home, keeping them connected to loved ones is the top priority. 🧡✨

Between September 2025 and August 2026, 53% of children entering foster care in Colorado were placed directly with kinship caregivers — grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, older siblings, close family friends, neighbors, teachers and coaches.

This , we salute every relative and trusted adult in Colorado who steps up to open their heart and home to a child in their family network! 🏡❤️

"I couldn't imagine him not knowing his family and his siblings. It just seemed like the right thing to do." 🧡✨

When DeAndrea welcomed relative Jason into her life as an infant, her world changed in the best way possible. Today, 3-year-old Jason is thriving, loving outdoor adventures, and staying closely connected to his brother and sister every single week! 🏞️👶

DeAndrea's story is a beautiful reminder of the power of family, connection, and the amazing village that supports kinship caregivers.
