I often see older hot tubs that were plumbed using copper pipe. The copper pipe in this hot tub was completely gone. Lots of water leaking here. I cant help but think of how much water has been wasted over the multitude of years this thing has been leaking to reach a point that now they are interested in repairing the situation.

This is one of the best ways to locate underground leaks. You have to mix the air and water.
We had a leak in a neighborhood yesterday. They were losing 19gpm and had 10 homes without water. TJ and I searched for 6 hours and found 4 leaks. This was the largest of them all.
I love having 100% confirmation that my leak detection is on point. The water from this leak surfaced literally 2 minutes after I painted a blue X on the ground
This is the perfect sound. A mix of tracer gas and water dancing at the same level as the hole in the pipe. This is the sound that you should be trying to create underground.

I was called out for a sewer gas smell. I used the Hurco smoke machine and saw smoke coming out from the basement floor. A camera inspection showed a fractured SDR35 pipe.
I just found a leak yesterday that was 33gpm. They have been losing 33gpm for the past 15 months. Thats 1,425,600 gallons per month X 15 months. Total loss over the past 15 months = 21,384,000 gallons.
Sewer gas smell in a home. Unlike most sewer gas leaks that are localized to a specific area, this entire home was stinky. I performed a smoke test and found this fractured pipe in the crawl space.
This job started as a simple spa leak and turned into something much bigger. We opened the mech room door to a heavy natural gas smell. The owner said it has been that way for the past three years. Im amazed the place hasent blown up. I located the gas leak as well as four other leaks in the spa. I turned off the gas and brought in a company to perform the proper repairs. Yes may have to turn up your volume to hear the bubbling.
