Samantha Trevizo, WPS's district translator, recently became certified as a Mental Health First Aid trainer so she can lead trainings in Spanish, a step the district sees as essential to reaching its Latino families. “Talking about mental health is not a sign of weakness but of courage,” states Trevizo. “Breaking the stigma starts when we stop judging, start listening, and understand that asking for help is also a way of caring for ourselves.”

”I think we all want to see a change in the world, and what better way than to start in this area where it's most important."

Homecoming is about so much more than what happens on the football field, it’s about the spirit of our entire community! 🏈👟

A massive shoutout to the WHS Cross Country team for kicking off the festivities in epic fashion. After receiving the official game ball at Westminster City Hall from local city leaders and some of our Board of Education members, our runners carried it all the way back to the WHS stadium, delivering it right onto the field just in time for kickoff.

This is what true sportsmanship and community pride look like: athletes supporting athletes, city and school leaders supporting students, and our whole town coming together to celebrate.

Let’s hear it for our XC team for setting the pace and showing us that school spirit is a true team effort! Let's go wolves!

Today was the 5th Annual 9/11 Stair Climb Challenge organized by the Westminster High School Cross-Country team. In honor of 9/11 Patriots Day, they climbed a total of 2,071 steps, the equivalent of 110 stories, matching the height of the World Trade Center towers as a way to honor the 343 firefighters and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
