Heads up, DART riders: The US National Weather Service Des Moines Iowa is calling for several rounds of heavy rain and potentially strong thunderstorms in the days ahead. Please check the forecast before heading to your bus stop so you don't get caught in bad weather!
While we do our best to stay on schedule during stormy weather, buses may experience temporary delays if the sirens go off or heavy rain, wind and hail impact the Des Moines metro.
Stay safe as you travel throughout the weekend!

With just 41 days until the launch of our new bus routes, we're here to support you. Last Friday, we held our first open house event and helped many people learn the routes and plan their trips.
Our open houses aren't meetings. You can simply drop in and get one-on-one help with schedules, bus stop locations and more. We will be hosting them throughout May and early June in several areas around the metro.
This week, we'll be in 3 locations across Des Moines. Find an event near you at rideDART.com/newroutes.
