This event goes beyond a celebration—it’s a space where young families are seen, supported, and empowered. Through engaging 6-A-Day interactive activities (Play, Hug, Sing, Encourage, Talk, and Reading), children and caregivers will experience meaningful ways to build strong, healthy connections that last a lifetime.

Attendees will also gain access to trusted community resources made possible through the Community Connections Grant, connecting families to vital services including:
• Parenting and pregnancy support
• Health screenings and wellness services
• Housing and family stability resources
• Emotional and mental health support

Whether you are a student, expecting parent, caregiver, community partner, or service provider, this event is an opportunity to:
• Connect with resources that make a real difference
• Build relationships within a supportive community
• Celebrate the strength and potential of Detroit families

Together, we are creating a village where young parents are empowered, children are nurtured, and families thrive.

We are proud to share that our Southwest Campus Robotics Team competed in their inaugural FIRST Robotics Competition this weekend at Wayne State University! 🤖
The team is led by Mr. Robert Rivera, ELL Parapro, and Mr. Richard Hiraga, Math Teacher, whose dedication made this opportunity possible for our students. Thank you both for your commitment to building this program from the ground up.
This is a tremendous accomplishment and an incredible learning experience for our students.
The team will compete again in Troy on April 3rd–4th, and we look forward to cheering them on as they continue their robotics journey. Stay tuned for more details and event links!
