In collaboration with SWQA, ABSW will be hosting “Crossroads of Solidarity: A Conversation on Intersectionality within the Black & Q***r Experience” to honor our ancestors and activists who have gone before us to fight for equality and equity to live with freedom. Please join us July 15th at 6pm!
We are proud to announce the launch of the Social Work Q***r Alliance (SWQA), a new student org working to create an accepting and supportive warrior community for all through advocacy, education and support. Founded by SWQA President and BSW student Kristen Prasiloski (left), and SWQA Vice-President and MSW student Tina Zerilli (right), SWQA offers a myriad of ways to get involved, including a community conversation led by students on the intersectionality of the Black and Q***r community July 15 on Zoom. https://bit.ly/3x5XWee

Hello Everyone! My name is AeYanna, and I am the newly appointed president of the ABSW at Wayne State. I am reaching out to all of you, past and (possibly) present members, to ask you a few questions: 1) What did you like to do as a member of this org?; 2) What would you like/have liked to see/have seen as a member of this org?; and 3) is there any advice that you would like to give for this org to move forward? We are currently in the process of recruiting and I have been tasked with rebuilding this organization as new, so any advice given is MUCH appreciated!
Thank you so much for taking the time to add to this organization's future!
