🎨 👋🏾 A sneak peek behind the creation of Big Baba Juke. 💙
60in. x 1 yd. of unstretched canvas.
“Big Baba Juke is an energy”. A conjuring. A remembering.
I intentionally kept the style rough, textured, and weathered because I wanted it to feel like an archival piece uncovered from another time…an old story, passed through hands, memory, music, and lineage. Something discovered rather than simply painted.
The story of Baba Juke is ancient in spirit. And I believe anyone from this lineage who encounters this piece will recognize something in it.

I get my eclectic taste in music from my dad. 💿🎶
That range taught me how to hear emotion inside of music and instinctively gave me an ear for making music of my own.
