SisterFriends is a volunteer effort to support healthier women, mothers, and babies. Once a SisterFriend always a SisterFriend!

SisterFriends offers a circle of care for women who are pregnant or who have recently had a baby. SisterFriends provides support to women who are pregnant, moms, and their families until their baby’s first birthday. Volunteer SisterFriends connect women who are pregnant, moms, and families to existing programs and resources – and to each other. Many SisterFriend Mentors and their Sister's relationships continue well beyond the baby’s first birthday.

Are you a woman who is pregnant? Are you a new mom or a caregiver of babies up to one year old? Rides to Care is still offering Free roundtrip rides to non-emergency medical appointments. Rides are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday’s from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Syphilis rates are on the rise in Detroit and the U.S. In the last five years rates have tripled amongst women in Michigan. Did you know that syphilis can be transmitted to your unborn child, causing blindness and other medical issues? The good news is Syphilis can be cured with antibiotics. Early detection is key. Testing is free and confidential.

The Detroit Health Department’s "Link Up Detroit Program" is continuing its partnership with Crown Pharmacy to provide free Syphilis and HIV testing.
