Cummings' 231-unit Third and Grand development gets $2 million in state financing The $54.6 million mixed-use project in Detroit's New Center Area is planned for a 1.4-acre surface parking lot previously owned by Henry Ford Health System.

Soave's first Detroit residential development plans include more than 400 apartments in Corktown The Michigan Strategic Fund on Tuesday approved a $6.9 million loan for the project's $43.8 million first phase. The Elton Park project, named after a Corktown park that existed until the late 1950s, is expected to begin construction in the spring and be open with 150 units by December 2018.
