Behind the Scenes Support 💙
When we talk about foster care, we often focus on foster families — but it truly takes a community to support children and youth in care.
Behind the scenes, there are so many individuals showing up every single day: caseworkers, mentors, volunteers, teachers, advocates, and partners — all working together to create stability, build connections, and open doors to opportunity. Each role matters. Each connection counts.
During Foster Care Awareness Month, we recognize that supporting young people in care isn’t one person’s responsibility — it’s a shared commitment. From education and advocacy to mentorship and everyday encouragement, these collective efforts help youth move from surviving to thriving.
We are grateful for every individual who helps create stronger, more supportive communities for the children we serve.
💬 Who is someone in your life that has made a difference by simply showing up consistently?

Big change is built through consistent care — and that’s exactly what our Monthly Heroes provide.
When you give monthly, you’re doing more than making a donation. You’re helping sustain the educational programs, life skills support, and advocacy that youth in foster care rely on every day. You’re helping create stability, opportunity, and a path forward — not just during Foster Care Awareness Month, but all year long.
At We Care Foster Care, we believe every young person deserves the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Monthly Heroes make that possible by showing up with steady, reliable support that grows over time.

What does foster care really feel like for a child?
REMOVED is a powerful 3-part film series that gives us a glimpse into that reality—highlighting the emotional impact of being removed from home, adjusting to foster families, and holding on to hope.
These films remind us that behind every case file is a child who needs compassion, patience, and belonging. Watch for free on YouTube.
👉 Take time to watch all three parts
👉 Share to spread awareness
👉 Consider how you can support foster youth in your community
Together, we can create a future where every child feels safe and seen.

Every child has a story—and in foster care, those stories often include loss, confusion, and resilience.
The short film series Removed (Parts 1, 2 & 3) follows the emotional journeys of two young children navigating the foster care system after being taken from their homes. Through their eyes, we see what so many children experience—fear, separation, hope, and the deep need for stability and love.
At We Care Foster Care, we believe understanding these stories is the first step toward changing them. Watch for free on YouTube.
💙 Watch.
💙 Learn.
💙 Be part of the difference.

This month is a reminder: kids in foster care deserve more than survival — they deserve opportunity, stability, and a future filled with possibility.
That’s why we offer educational programs, community-connected resources, and unique opportunities that help young people thrive.
This month, let’s be the community that shows up — consistently, compassionately, and with purpose. Join us in May — share, volunteer, donate, or partner.

Orthodontics Dental Specialists
We are incredibly grateful to DR. FEE and the PLYMOUTH ORTHODONTICS team, and DR. DAVID LIPTON at MICHIGAN DENTAL SPECIALISTS, as well as many other supporting dental professionals, for their generosity and compassion in donating orthodontic services to one of the teens we serve.
Because of their kindness, this young person now has the opportunity to smile with confidence—something every child deserves.
Thank you for investing not just in a smile, but in a brighter future. ✨
