Success
By: Bessie Anderson Stanley

He has achieved success
who has lived well,
laughed often, and loved much;

who has enjoyed the trust of
pure women,

the respect of intelligent men and
the love of little children;

who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;

who has left the world better than he found it
whether by an improved poppy,
a perfect poem or a rescued soul;

who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty
or failed to express it;

who has always looked for the best in others and
given them the best he had;

whose life was an inspiration;
whose memory a benediction.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love for others will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends, may we also take a moment to reflect on the blessings of freedom and the heroes who made them possible.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Today, we remember. We pray. We give thanks.

May God bless the fallen, their families, and all who continue to serve. 🇺🇸

✝️Historical Figures of the Church: St. Joan of Arc✝️

St. Joan of Arc, the courageous patron saint of France, is remembered as a young woman of extraordinary faith, conviction, and bravery. Born in 1412 in the small village of Domrémy, Joan was 13 years old when she began receiving visions from saints who called her to help defend France during the Hundred Years’ War. Trusting completely in God’s guidance, she led French forces to several important victories, inspiring hope and unity among her people. Her unwavering devotion to Christ and her willingness to follow God’s will, even in the face of danger, continue to inspire Catholics around the world today.

St. Joan of Arc was martyred at just 19 years old and her legacy of faith and courage has endured for centuries. Official canonized as a saint in 1920, she is a powerful reminder that holiness is possible at any age and that God often works through the humble and unexpected. St. Joan of Arc teaches us to remain steadfast in our beliefs, to trust in God’s plan, and to face life’s challenges with courage and grace. On her feast day, we honor her remarkable life and pray for the strength to live our own faith with the same fearless devotion.

This Mother’s Day, we pause to honor the women whose love shaped our lives, whose faith guided our hearts, and whose memories remain forever treasured.
Whether your mother is beside you today or held lovingly in God’s eternal care, may you find comfort in the gift of her love and the promise of everlasting life.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” — Proverbs 31:25

Today, we remember all mothers with gratitude, prayer, and love. May God bless them abundantly.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. 🌷🙏

Today, on Bereaved Mother’s Day, we pause with tender hearts to honor the women who carry a love that never fades.

To every mother who has experienced the loss of a child—whether recently or long ago—please know that your motherhood is seen, cherished, and remembered. The bond you share is eternal, held safely in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

Grief may change shape over time, but love remains constant. Today, we lift you up in prayer, asking for God’s peace to gently surround you and His presence to bring comfort in both quiet and overwhelming moments.

You are not alone. Your child is not forgotten. And your love continues to shine in ways seen and unseen.

With compassion and remembrance today and always.
