Hard work and small businesses keep our communities going. 🍔 Congressman Cuellar stepped up to the drive-thru window to celebrate the grand opening of the new McDonald's in Eagle Pass at 30 Queens Court, serving up burgers and smiles alongside the crew. Congrats to everyone who made this day happen!

Yesterday I joined the Maverick County Chamber of Commerce, owner Manuel Pacheco, the Mendoza and Pacheco families, Eagle Pass Mayor Aaron Valdez, members of local law enforcement, and neighbors at 30 Queens Ct. to celebrate the grand opening. I was proud to present a certificate recognizing this new local business and what it brings to our community: jobs, a new gathering spot, and more investment in Eagle Pass.

Thank you to Jorge Barrera, President and CEO of Water Works, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and School Board President, for the warm welcome, and to the officers who stopped by to celebrate with us. Thank you to everyone who came out. When small businesses grow here, Maverick County grows. 🇺🇸

It was great to be back in Asherton today! 🇺🇸

I met with Mayor Alex Bustamante at Asherton City Hall to hear about what's going on in the community and what residents need. I also connected with the Laredo Housing Authority and Albert Diaz, Director of the Community Services Agency, about housing and senior services in Asherton.

Thank you to Mayor Bustamante. Small towns are the heart of South Texas, and I'll keep fighting for them in Washington.
