I truly love helping people—especially families who need important documents signed during challenging times. 💙 Being of service to my community means a lot to me.

However, as a professional notary, I also have a legal and ethical responsibility to follow strict guidelines, even when it’s difficult. That means sometimes I have to put my heart aside and do what the law requires.

For a notarization to take place, the signer must:
✔️ Have the mental capacity to understand the document and what they are signing
✔️ Be able to comprehend the nature and consequences of the transaction
✔️ Sign the document willingly and without any pressure or coercion

If a loved one is nonverbal or unable to demonstrate that they understand what is being signed, I am unfortunately unable to proceed with the notarization. Signs of confusion, lack of understanding, or undue influence are serious concerns that I cannot overlook.

Bottom line: My duty is to protect all parties involved and ensure every notarization is valid, legal, and ethical.
