Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and resilience demonstrated in the days that followed.

Twenty-five years later, a hand-painted rock bearing the words โ€œNever Forgetโ€ was anonymously placed near the flagpole outside our fire station. We continue to remember how our nation was forever changed by that fateful day.

Another happy farewell and congratulations to Fireman Scott Pennewill. Scott recently moved out of the 9House to take a position with Broward County Florida as a medical examiner. His son, Austin Pennewill, will be following in his footsteps and joining the 9House live-in program. He has been working hard through his rookie book, marking a special father/son operational duo while they were both here. We wish you best of luck Scott!
