Community is at the heart of what we do at the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office! 💙

This week, several of our deputies attended multiple National Night Out events and had the opportunity to visit Havenwood Nature School to talk with children about safety, the important role of law enforcement, and how we work together to keep our community safe.

Building relationships, earning trust, and connecting with our neighbors—that’s community-oriented policing in action! 👮‍♂️🤝

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us this week. We’re proud to serve you!

A big thank you to the All-Star Academy for inviting Corporal Zach Miller and Deputy Constable Tim Kresta out this morning to spend time with your students! 👮‍♂️🚔

They had a great time talking with the children about safety, answering their questions, and giving them an up-close look at some of the equipment we use on a daily basis.

Building strong relationships with the members of our community—especially our youth—is an important part of what we do. We’re proud to serve our communities, connect with the people we protect, and work together to keep everyone safe.

Thank you again to the All-Star Academy for having us! We look forward to seeing you again soon! 🤝💙

A heartfelt thank-you to H-E-B Corporate Store #780, Nutty Brown location, for dropping off drinks, snacks, and kolaches to the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office this afternoon!

H-E-B recognizes the risks first responders take every day to protect and serve our communities. The Helping Heroes company-wide volunteer service project was created in 2005 to honor this extraordinary heroism.

Thank you, H-E-B, for your generosity and continued support of our first responders! We truly appreciate you. 💙

Remembering September 11, 2001

Our Constable’s Precinct was honored today to stand alongside American Legion Post 290 and VFW Post 2933 at Patriots' Hall of Dripping Springs for a solemn ceremony remembering the victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

As members of the Dripping Springs, Driftwood and Henly law-enforcement communities, we recognize the extraordinary courage and sacrifice displayed by the first responders who ran toward danger to protect and save others. We also remember the service members who answered our nation’s call in the years that followed.

On this 25th anniversary, we honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, their families and loved ones, and every hero who demonstrated courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we continue to carry their memory forward and never forget the unity, courage, and selflessness that defined our nation in the days that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🚨 PARKING ENFORCEMENT NOTICE — PEABODY PLACE DRIVE

The Constable’s Office has received multiple complaints regarding vehicles being parked in the posted, “No Parking Zone” in the 100 block of Peabody Place Drive along both sides of the street, across from Dripping Springs Middle School and Walnut Springs Elementary School.

We understand that school drop-off and pick-up can be busy, and we recognize that waiting in line on school property can be frustrating. However, parking along Peabody Place Drive is prohibited and creates safety and traffic concerns for the community residents and the students who cross the street for their rides.

For the past week, our deputies have been providing verbal warnings to drivers parked in the restricted area. Moving forward, due to continued violations, our deputies will begin taking enforcement action against vehicles that are illegally parked.

We would also like to thank Roman Baligad, Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security Director for the City of Dripping Springs, for responding to our request for assistance by deploying a message board and water barricades along Peabody Place Drive to provide an additional reminder that this area is a “No Parking Zone.”

We ask parents and drivers to please plan accordingly, follow posted parking restrictions, and use designated areas for school drop-off and pick-up.

Our goal is to keep students, parents, school staff, and everyone traveling through the area safe while maintaining an orderly flow of traffic.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Starting Tuesday, September 1st, the Hays County 9-1-1 and Kyle 9-1-1 will align with area dispatch centers in Hays County by utilizing the Police Priority Dispatch System.

The Hays County 9-1-1 Combined Emergency Communications Center dispatches for all five Constable Precincts, Sheriff's Office, Buda and Uhland Police Departments in addition to Fire and EMS.

The PPDS is a structured system that provides standardized questioning prompts for dispatchers to ask callers.

What does this mean for you?

When you call 9-1-1 or the non-emergency dispatch number, the call taker will ask certain questions based on the situation. While the number of questions may seem like a lot, it ensures the right information gets to the right people so they can make the right decisions on who responds to address your need. Know that as questions are being asked and answered by one person, another person is reviewing your responses and sending first responders. In critical situations, help is already on the way while we're working through all questions and gathering additional details from you.

What does it mean for first responders?

The standardized and methodical questions promote consistency in identifying and communicating critical safety information earlier in the call. This allows them to have critical information quickly and consistently should their response tactics need to be adjusted.
Through the Police Priority Dispatch System, our goal is to improve service quality to the community so we can get you the help you need as quickly and efficiently as possible.
