🔸 Artist Spotlight: Rhonda Zoch 🔸
For Monadnock Art member Rhonda Zoch, the wild places of New England have been a lifelong source of wonder, solace, and inspiration.
Growing up along the shore of Long Island Sound and spending her teenage years wandering the fields and forests of New England, Rhonda developed a connection to the natural world, one that continues to shape her work today. Clouds, prisms of light, forest floors, sand, flower petals, moth wings, lichen, and the shifting shimmer of water all find their way into her visual language.
Her vibrant colored paintings explore our connection to something larger than ourselves, from the ancient and primal to the spiritual, and offer a moment of meditative calm amid the noise and chaos of modern life. For Rhonda, painting is itself a spiritual practice: a way of looking closely, wondering deeply, and finding the extraordinary within the natural world around us.
Now sharing her time between the mountains and brooks of New Hampshire and the shores of New England, Rhonda invites us to explore deeper within the world around us. "My hope is that the viewer, when experiencing my work, is left with a reverent glimpse of the fringes of that world." — Rhonda Zoch
