Me today at my stand up desk. Working remotely is such a gift. I'm so thankful. It's been a few months now where I stopped going into the office completely. By doing so it has helped my health tremendously. I feel so much better. Just Grateful. βΊοΈ Happy Wednesday! π€

My son testing out my camera on my new phone. This is a bug that was on the outside of our patio door. My son took the photo from inside at an angle. I upgraded my Pixel Pro 6 to the Pixel Pro 10 XL. As it was time nearing its EOL. I was always a Samsung girl. I still have one for business. π But I really love the Google Pixel phones, the camera quality is lovely. I'm always getting compliments on my photos when I send them to others. The only thing I dislike about the Pixel phone is it gets hot too fast but outside of that I love it. This new chip is supposed to help with that in these new ones. So we will see. π§π
Otherwise... Sending warm love to all. π
I let IG pick my song. π

One thing the military taught me early on was the importance of keeping an inventory. Every item you were issued had to be accounted for, and every so often inspections would happen to ensure nothing was missing. At the time it felt tedious, but now I see the wisdom in it.
Businesses operate the same way. They conduct regular audits and inventory checks to track what they have, whatβs being used, and whatβs missing. Itβs not just about counting boxes... itβs about accountability, efficiency, and readiness.
As homeowners, we often donβt think this way but we should. Having a personal home inventory protects you in so many ways. π€ If a fire, theft, or natural disaster ever happens, an updated inventory can be the difference between a smooth insurance claim and a stressful, costly battle. It also helps you stay aware of what you own, avoid duplicate purchases, and plan for repairs or upgrades.
Today, I decided to keep an inventory of all of my books. I have a lot of them and with the help of ChatGPT, the process was so much easier. ππΎ I simply snapped a photo, and it generated a list of the book titles and authors. Of course, Iβll still go back over it to catch the ones it may have missed and verify everything is accurate, but using this tool made creating my inventory list faster and less overwhelming. π
Whether in the military, in business, or at home, the principle is the same: If you canβt account for what you have, youβll never be fully prepared.
Take a weekend to document whatβs in your home... photos, receipts, or even a simple list. Think of it as your personal audit. Your future self will thank you. βΊοΈ

Yesterday, Des and I entered IKEA. The lady was like are you all college students? π
Des just shakes his head. π
I thought to myself...well I am in college. Lol. So I responded I am in college, why you asked? The staff: We are currently giving a 15% discount to college students.
Me: Oh, let me see this. Lol π I'm all for discounts especially on large ticket items. I entered my school info and voila discount code was sent to me. ππΎ
This past week... I've gotten a lot of discounts shopping bc it was my birthday. The jeweler even gave me half off a jewelry piece once I mentioned it was a birthday gift to myself lol. Saved me $400. ππΎ With the increase prices everywhere, these days, discounts are very much welcomed. π
Got any students looking for stuff for their dorm or apartment. Have them check out IKEA and see what they can buy and get a discount.

Last Friday, I was supposed to be on a flight out of state. But unfortunately plans changed last minute and I was kinda sad about it. As I was looking forward to my trip. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund on my flight and hotel. I'm usually cheap with those flight tickets lol so thank God I paid up to get a refund. ππΎ Anyhow as my life would have it. My schedule filled up pretty quickly with things to do. π This last week I've had the opportunity to spend time with both family and friends, catching up with some friends I haven't spoken to in forever bc life is busy and everyone isn't on social media. I even had a date. Did some retail therapy. π Clean and organized my home, as I'm preparing to move next year so I've been going through ALL my stuff, to get rid of things I don't want or need. It's been a lot of work. You accumulate so much stuff in 20yrs. π« Anyway I don't want to be carrying junk with me when I move. Lol. Also started my Fall session at ORU this week and got some business work done and catching up with a client. When I say this week wasn't what I had originally planned but it has been beautiful and productive and for that I'm grateful! Happy Friday!!! βΊοΈπ

Picking up my sonβs glasses today so he can see. As I wait for my turn, I canβt help but laugh thinking back to when he was a baby. I used to say, βI canβt wait until heβs in school, itβll be cheaper.β πππ
The joke was on me! As kids grow, so do the costs...π« just in different ways. You trade diapers and formula for glasses, clothes, activities, and everything else life throws their way.
Now, at 19, his needs have shifted, but one thing hasnβt: my role as his mom. In this season, Iβm grateful that Iβm able to help make sure his basic needs are met so he can focus on thriving, not just surviving. πππ
