Minnesota Task Force 2

Two of our members just wrapped up an intense week-long course and earned their SPRAT Level 1 certification!

As our lead rope rescue instructors, they’re always pushing to sharpen their skills and stay at the top of their game. The techniques, knowledge, and experience they gained will be brought straight back to the team to make us all of us stronger, safer, and more prepared.

Three members of Minnesota Task Force 2 recently spent an intensive week training at TEEX’s Disaster City while attending Advanced Structural Collapse 4.

This challenging course pushed participants through complex rescue scenarios focused on large-scale structural collapse, advanced shoring techniques, and coordinating technical rescue in high-risk environments. Disaster City provides one of the most realistic training environments in the country, allowing responders to practice skills on full-scale collapsed structures and disaster simulations.

We’re proud of these three team members for their dedication to sharpening their skills and continuing to strengthen the capabilities of Minnesota Task Force 2. The knowledge and experience gained during this training will help ensure our team remains ready to respond when communities need us most.

Three members of Minnesota Task Force 2 finished their first day of Canine Search Specialist training in Tampa — building skills to support our search and rescue dogs in the field.

Congratulations to K9 Everest and Handler Natalie Runge! They have successfully passed their Foundational Skills Assessment (FSA) and are now a Type II certified HRD disaster team! Everest and Natalie have put in a ton of hard work and dedication, and we couldn’t be more proud of this incredible team!
